Guest Post: Major Keys To Success

9:30:00 AM

Here I am about to talk about success, greatness and try to inspire someone while at it. I'm a girl with a lot of dreams, passion and enthusiasm and I hope I can project some of that in the post. I will mostly point out important nuggets that can inspire us all. Please bear with me if something is not clear or a bit twisty for you to understand. In that case, do comment.

Greatness begins with a dream. It is your dream that produces a future. Your sight is what you see and what you see determines how you’ll be seen. Your sight is your size, you can never be bigger than what you see and what you see is what gives you power. Your vision increases passion. Vision is the world’s most desperate need.

I have learned that it is what you put in your mind, what you think and do that makes your person. Your life is shaped by what and how you think. What happens outwardly in your life is not as important as what happens inside of you. You can put any mental object in this mind and it will come to reality. One of the most powerful thing in this world is the human mind. This means we can program ourselves to be the people we want to be, whatever the subject matter is, live in it by a mental-physical program or system of learning and doing. Always believe in yourself no matter the negative who/what around you because whatever you believe, you become. Don't be afraid to be different, to strive for the best and not the 'standard'

“In the end the most important thing is to be true to yourself by working hard, work like there’s no tomorrow, strive, train, really train and cultivate your talent to the highest degree, be the best at what you do” - MJ

Know that talent is cheaper than table salt, but what differentiates a talented individual from a successful one is hard work.

“I wouldn’t say I have a talent that is special, it strikes me that I have an unusual kind of stamina" -John Irving.

Unless you try to do something beyond what you’ve already mastered you’ll never grow. So
one of the key to success that I’ve learned is doing the common things, uncommonly well. There’s a saying that goes "shoot for the moon and even if you miss you’ll land among the stars." Always aim for perfection (2cor 12:11). Remember there’s no growth without change, there’s no change without fear, there’s no fear without loss, and there’s no loss without pain.

Don’t be discouraged because everyone who got where they are started where they were. In other words, do not look at where you are and think your dreams cannot be possible this way, look at where you’re going and remember your mindset is a big factor. Obstacles are those frightful things you see once you take your eyes off the goal. Clear your mind off "can'ts", if there’s such word and put on your "can do" spirit, always. Everything is possible, the future belongs to those who see possibilities before they become obvious. Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossible before they were done. Don’t doubt your abilities, you’ll never know until you try.

Perseverance is a great element of success, probably the last key in the set of keys you would need to unlock your door. As you know by now, the price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand and determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand. Don’t ever give up so easily, even the snail made it to the ark by perseverance. I realized at some point in my life that there’s always an opportunity in every difficult situation, that will help you to understand yourself more deeply and also to improve your life. Instead of questioning the situation with "why me's?", I'd rather ask myself "Why not me?" Turn your negative mindset into positivity and even though it’s tough wear a smile while at it. Smiling doesn’t mean you’re happy-sometimes it simply mean you’re strong, and yes you are! So today,

Worry less, smile more…
Complain less, appreciate more…
Expect less, prepare more…
Judge less, respect more and…
Take less, give more.

Another thing is Enthusiasm. When you’re doing what you love to do, no one has to motivate you or challenge you or check up on you, you do it for the sheer enjoyment. You don’t need reward or applause or payment.  Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. I learned that every man is enthusiastic at times, one man has it for 30mins, another has it for 30days, but it is the man who has it for 30years that makes a success in life. Be like a duck – smooth and unruffled on top but paddling furiously underneath. “Only passions, great passions can elevate the soul to great things” Bear in mind, that every calling is great when greatly pursued.

Here is another key to success and the key to failure; trying to please everyone. This can either make you successful if you know you can't please anymore or make you fail if your goal is to make everyone happy based on their standards. Just show up and be your best self, everything is hard before it is easy, the best view comes after the hardest climb. Our greatest glory is in rising every time we fall, don’t be afraid to give up the good for the great, guess what? There are far better things ahead than any we leave behind, so do not worry about the end goal just ask yourself what is my next right action?

One of the most interesting ingredient in the formula of success is knowing God and how to get along with people. Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. Stay focused on God’s plan and not on your problems. Know this, the greatest achievement a human being can get is to love God, yourself and others, “love”. Have faith, believe, and you can fly, you can be anything. Remember this, we are not in this world to live up to each other’s expectations. So faith, hope and love.

Finally,
"Life is a daring adventure or nothing at all" - Helen Keller

So therefore, the meaning of life is to find your gift, and the purpose is to give it away. :)
Always think, believe, dream and dare to live right!
