I know most people don't like using beans flour for anything but for me, I have no choice because I don't like the beans they sell here. I've used this recipe for a long time and it's amazeballs. It might not be like the original made with beans from scratch but it's equally delicious. The only new change here is I used a mixer to whisk in air so it can be fluffy. Don't worry, if you don't have an electric mixer, you just have to do some hand work and whisk in air for longer time. Say 10mins? Lol sorry ehn.

Akara with Beans Flour
by Dedun O August-19-2016
Delicious and still as good as the one made with whole beans.
Ingredients
- 250g Beans Flour
- 1 Bell Peppers
- 1 Scotch Bonnet
- 1 Spring Onion
- 1/2 cup Water
- Salt
- 1 tbsp Cray Fish
Instructions
1. Chop the peppers and onion.
2. Add the beans flour in a blender with water. Blend to mix and get a paste.
3. Add the chopped peppers and onion and crayfish to the paste. Blend together.
4. Transfer to an electric mixing bowl and whisk for 5 minutes. (Adapted the electric whisk method from dooney, I usually whisk by hand so you can if you don't have electric mixer).
Add the salt almost at the end of the whisking time.
5. Heat up the oil. Don't let it be too hot.
6. Use your hand or spoon to scoop the batter into the oil. Fry till golden on both sides.
7. Ready to be served with Ogi/Pap/Akamu or garri.. As your majesty pleases
